What sets us apart

Why buyers choose Hide-A-Way.

Three reasons the same builders and designers keep coming back.

🪵
100%

Real hardwood

Not MDF. Not a veneer over particleboard. Every door is milled from solid wood — white oak, walnut, mahogany, poplar — species your clients can actually feel the difference in.

🤝
Family-built

Not a factory line

A family team in Morristown, TN — not a warehouse with a CNC and a QC checklist. Every door is touched by someone who cares whether it fits the wall before it leaves the shop.

Everything you're wondering.

From the initial consultation call to install day, most projects run 10–16 weeks total. Consultation is roughly 1 week, design 2–3 weeks, build 6–10 weeks depending on complexity and shop queue, and install is 1–2 days on site. Rush builds are sometimes available — ask during consultation.
Pricing varies by size, wood species, hardware, finish, and installation complexity. Most residential bookcase doors start in the $3,000–$6,000 range; commercial and hospitality builds with complex mechanisms run higher. Request a quote and we'll give you a detailed number within 1 business day — no obligation.
Yes — that's actually the majority of what we do. We don't work from a catalog of 12 door styles. If you can sketch it or describe it, our team can design and build it. Bring your architect drawings, your napkin sketch, or just a use case — we'll figure out the rest in consultation.
We ship domestically throughout the US and work with freight partners for Canadian projects. For international builds outside North America, we can ship the door and provide detailed installation documentation for your local contractor — reach out and we'll work out the logistics on a case-by-case basis.
Yes — retrofits are common. We'll need accurate measurements and photos of the existing opening, wall framing, and surrounding finish. Your GC or our install team can handle the structural prep. The door is built to fit the actual opening, not the other way around.
Every door is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship. If something isn't right — a mechanism that binds, a finish that doesn't hold, a fit that's off — we'll make it right. The specifics vary by project; your quote will include full warranty terms in writing.
