HGTV's production team came looking for the most impressive hidden door they could find. This bookshelf-triggered escape room entrance — built from solid white oak with a concealed pivot hinge system — was the one they chose.
The challenge: it had to survive 25+ activations per day, pass scrutiny from a camera team that actively tried to reveal the mechanism, and look completely unremarkable from the guest side. It passed all three. Three years later it's still running with zero hardware replacements.
